Chestnut - Noemi Gel Tint 10ml
Chestnut is Noemi's chestnut brown shade: a versatile reddish-brown colour with medium to strong pigmentation that leaves a clearly visible skin stain. Its cool red pigment adds depth without orange undertones. With its gel texture, mixed in a 1:1 ratio with a Noemi developer, it helps redefine sparse eyebrows and create a noticeably fuller appearance. Suitable for eyebrows and eyelashes. The colour remains visible on the hairs for 5 to 6 weeks. 10 ml tube, providing approximately 40 applications. Intended for professional brow and lash artists.
Chestnut Gel: a chestnut brown tint that stains the skin
Chestnut is a versatile shade: a reddish-brown colour that suits a wide range of clients with chestnut brown hair. What sets it apart is its pigmentation. Medium to strong on the hairs, it also leaves an intense stain on the skin. This makes the brows appear visibly fuller, even when the natural hairs are sparse.
Its red pigment has a cool undertone. The resulting reddish-brown colour is deep and rich, without leaning towards orange.
A gel texture for intense colour
- Precise definition: accuracy matters with a tint that strongly stains the skin. The gel stays exactly where you apply it.
- A fuller appearance: the skin stain visually fills the gaps between hairs, giving the brows a fuller, more defined shape.
- Buildable intensity: one layer may be enough. Apply a second layer only to areas where you want a stronger result.
What's in the formula?
Aloe vera for supple, shiny hairs, niacinamide to soothe the skin, hydrolysed wheat, corn and soy proteins to help protect the hairs during tinting, and lemon essential oil to enhance the radiance of the colour.
Chestnut eyebrow tint: results and longevity
The brows look full and well-defined, with a deep reddish-brown colour. The skin stain is clearly visible during the first few days, then gradually fades. It disappears within 7 to 10 days, depending on skin type and aftercare. On the hairs, the colour lasts 5 to 6 weeks.
Control colour intensity with the developer
| Desired effect | Developer | Mixture | Result |
|---|---|---|---|
| Softer skin stain, more natural finish | Crème Solution 3% | Gel-cream | Defined chestnut brown colour, less skin staining |
| Maximum fullness for sparse brows | Gel Solution 3% | Gel | Intense colour, strong skin stain |
| Tinting after brow lamination | Gel Solution 3% | Gel | Clearly defined colour, gentle on the hairs |
For eyebrows, Solution 6% is not recommended with a versatile shade such as Chestnut.
For eyelashes
Chestnut can also be used to tint eyelashes, creating a softer reddish-brown result than black. Allow approximately 10 minutes of processing time, with the eyes closed and the eyelids and under-eye area properly protected. As this shade strongly stains the skin, a protective pad beneath the lower lashes is essential.

1. Before the Treatment
- Perform a sensitivity test before every tinting treatment.
- Choose the shade together with the client, taking into account their hair colour, undertones and desired result.
- Work on clean, dry hairs free from oily residue.
- For eyelashes: apply a protective cream to the eyelid skin, avoiding the lashes, then place a protective pad beneath the lower lashes.
2. Choosing the Developer
| Developer | Action | When to Use |
|---|---|---|
| Crème Solution 3% | Standard oxidation, even colour development and balanced skin staining | Standard eyebrow tinting, eyelash tinting, laminated brows and a natural finish |
| Gel Solution 3% | Controlled colour development and more defined skin staining | Medium-density or sparse eyebrows, graphic techniques, hair-stroke effects and tinting after a brow lift |
| Solution 6% | Intense oxidation and stronger colour development | Intense shades (red, copper, burgundy), deep black eyelashes and grey or resistant hairs |
- Solution 6% is not recommended for eyebrows when using universal or dark shades, or immediately after a brow lift. Wait until the hairs have stabilised again.
- You can mix Crème Solution 3% and Solution 6% in equal parts to obtain an intermediate strength of 4.5%.
3. Preparing the Mixture
- Place the tint in a mixing dish, then add an equal amount of developer (1:1 mixing ratio). Mix until smooth and homogeneous.
- When combining several shades, mix the tints together first, then add an equal amount of developer.
- The resulting texture depends on the combination selected:
| Combination | Texture | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Cream tint + Crème Solution 3% | Creamy | Soft and natural, focused on the hairs |
| Cream tint + Gel Solution 3% | Cream-gel | Defined, with enhanced skin staining |
| Gel tint + Crème Solution 3% | Gel-cream | Sharp and graphic |
| Gel tint + Gel Solution 3% | Gel | Intense, suitable for layered application |
4. Application
- Eyebrows: apply the mixture within 3 to 5 minutes in a thin, even layer. With a gel tint, outline the brows first and then fill them in, or work hair by hair. A second layer can intensify sparse areas.
- Eyelashes: the client must keep their eyes closed throughout the treatment. Distribute the tint evenly along the entire length of the lashes within 3 to 5 minutes, avoiding contact with the eyes.
5. Processing Time
- Eyebrows: 10 to 15 minutes.
- Eyelashes: approximately 10 minutes with cream and gel tints, and 10 to 15 minutes with Lash Dye.
- The exact processing time depends on the shade, hair thickness and skin type. Check the colour regularly and remove the tint as soon as the desired intensity is achieved.
6. Removal and Finishing
- Rinse the tint thoroughly with water. When rinsing the eyelashes, the client must keep their eyes closed.
- For eyebrows, carry out any shape correction after tinting, not before.
Precautions for Use
- These products are intended for professional use only.
- A sensitivity test is mandatory before every tinting treatment.
- When tinting eyelashes, always work with the client's eyes closed and protect the eyelids and the area beneath the eyes.
- If tint enters the eye, or if significant discomfort or a burning sensation occurs, immediately rinse the eyes with plenty of water.
- After a brow lift, the hairs are softer and more sensitive. Prefer Gel Solution 3% and avoid Solution 6%.
- Close tubes and bottles tightly after each use.
For professional use only. Avoid direct skin contact on the eye. Read directions for use carefully before application. Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. May cause irritation to eyes and skin and can cause an allergic reaction.

For clients with chestnut brown hair and, more generally, anyone who suits a reddish-brown shade. Chestnut is a versatile colour that works for a wide range of clients.
What does ‘cool red pigment’ mean?
Chestnut has a cool red undertone rather than an orange one. The result is a deep reddish-brown colour that doesn't turn bright copper.
